yoooohoo! Guess who is back! Things have been smooth, i have been happy. in fact so overly happy i feel like there can be nothing better. teehee all's good! Just that my lazy ailment to blog kicks in so very often soli!

Mon - granny lam came to town, spent time with my family. never better, ate my granny's home grown healthy delicious sweet potato leaves and lady fingers my favourite vegetables of all. the best of the best of the best, grown and harvested with love in mind of her grandchildren and always remembering its my favourite! My grandma cooks the best, black vinegar pig trotters, ban mian, brewing soups, always calling out "A-da-lyn, come and eat alr!" ai si wo de waipo. hen duo hen duo hen duo!!

Tues - went out with my mom and sis! I was off from work that day so i asked my mom out. hehe, i love having females in the family. ok thats not the point. hahaha we wanted to go to Ikea but instead went to tamp. Shopped with my mom for household appliances and came across this japan fair. WOW japan is super high tech, everything is available! I was so amazed! We wanted this and that but in the end we only ended up buying a wok. HAHA and we kept teasing my mom because we wanted to carry it for her but she refuses to let us saying that if there are people who wants to fight, she can just swing the wok. HAHA i love my mamamama!

(ok, i guess it is quite evident that i am on happy pills. carrying on.......)

Wed - dinner at 85 with bro! I swear it was crazy. but super shiok! 10 chicken wings, 15 satays, ba chor mee, rice, oyster omelete, stingray top it off with sugarcane drinks for two was totally insane. seriously which girl eats this much...... fatso. but hehe satisfyingggggggg! Cheap and good food, 85 thumbs up!

thurs - went to school with Lynn and Claudia. aftermath, on an impromptu decision, we decided to head to jp then to town. Making sudden decisions on where to go and running out of the train at the very last min. Sudden urge to eat macs, so settled for upsized meal! Dessert was at Dunkin' donuts. Felt. sinful after that. on a eating craze, apparently.

aiya i have trouble remembering what i have done on which day over which week alr. In short, I watched a bball match and ate at bedok 85(again) with my monster, ate at Ah loy's thai restaurant with it's owner HAHA kidding. Food's awesome must try pandan chicken!, met up with my jc girls for indian food at little india and chilled at cathay's starbucks, went out with my mom again and had fun sampling all the hokkaido fair food laughing away, sitting at the dining table with papa to drink his nicely brewed soup of love praising him, watching transformers with bro, having dinner at changi v with my secondary clique, supper at 1a.m at central. and so much more. everyday is fun packed and good. I only know that i have been living my holiday to the max and i am so harrppppppyeeee! &eggcited i got my new samsung galaxy, data plan wo ai ni. HAHAHAHA goodnight!

It was my grandma's birthday the other day! I love old grannies and grandpas!! If they are not grumpy old folks that is. I like to receive calls at work from old grannies the most because they are soooooooooo nice and cute!

My ahma look so happy like a little girl while we sang the birthday song. Please treat your grandparents better if they are still around. they are such gems i love them hen duo hen duo!!!

If you spend enough time with me or am close to me, you would have heard me saying that i love the broad blue sky before. ok actually the way i say it would be "I LOVE BIG PLOTS OF LAND!! NO BUILDINGS. JUST THE SKY AND MORE SKY! I think i am part of the nature in my previous life." HAHA ok maybe i can understand why people always say i'm crazy. But i really really really like it. It brings serenity, it makes me peaceful and well.. i don't know, i will just stare at it when i'm walking and a smile would form naturally. I dig that feeling totally! Its like time slows down, heartbeat slows down, i can hear the birds chirping away merrily, the trees rustling, the breeze gentle on my face C: Of course i'm no nuts to walk under it at 12 noon or any sunny weather where i will feel all warm and uncomfortable. I only appreciate it in the evening when the sun is about to set and the weather is just fine or early in the morning before mr sunny is shining bright and jolly. Although there are two chances for me to catch the moment everyday, the fast pace of life and hectic schedules forbid. Perhaps this is why i appreciate it more when i get to indulge in it. Yes i use the word indulge, because sometimes even if i do get to see it, i will be rushing off to another place thus not being able to enjoy it :( its like a treasure to me! Definitely one of my favourite past times if i have the time. simple pleasures teehee! I want to be a free-spirit! :D

With this, i am done for the day. I have many more updates to do but this should suffice for now. OK IT DEFINITELY SUFFICE, so many posts at one go. If i continue on, i really will go and bang wall hahahahaha. Actually i can choose not to update but i like to update because I wish to remember. For every card that was written for me, every card made for me, every handmade present be it small or big, i keep it all. Every time i add new cards in, and read the old ones inside, I will always go "eh, eh!" and just smile myself silly. I like photos because it is the one thing that can really hold the memory. For every polaroid that i took, i will write the date on it. If i don't blog about the outing, it doesn't mean that it is not important or i did not enjoy it. Its just that i have more motivation to blog when there are pictures. I always like nice pictures and its so tempting to get a good camera but that can wait, and definitely must wait for there are better places to spend the money on! I need to support myself from now onwards and will not take allowance anymore.

Through this year, I feel that I have matured a lot as well as aged a lot. Ok, I am only but 19. However, there are many incidents and events that made me think a lot. As a daughter, as a sister, as a granddaughter, as a human but more importantly as me. I have never been extraordinary nor the most outstanding, but i am so ever thankful to have such wonderful people around me. I think i am so blessed so lucky soso lucky. For every advice and comfort given to me, i really appreciate them. People may say im naive and silly for believing people so easily even if they do not really mean it. But to me, i am really happy about it. This makes me happy and i choose to be happy. Every single comfort means a lot to me. I learnt humility i learnt regrets i learnt failure i learnt courage and peserverance i learnt to make decisions for myself, i learnt to take charge and responsibilities for my future within a short period of time. Without their support, I would have faltered. Ok perhaps not. Given my nature, i will probably talk myself out of it, not to wallow in self-pity and get my feet back on. But then again.. humans were made to support one another emotionally and i have to admit i am only human and no doubt it is only because of them that made me what i am, my nature, my character today.

I remember my dad sending me text messages encouraging me, cheering me on knowing that i am feeling really blue. Upon seeing the messages, i just teared uncontrollably. He may not have known what he has done, but it meant so much to me. so much so much. This year, i realised how important support is and understand what they mean when they say that your family will never desert you no matter what. it comforted me so and i really really am very grateful. My mom gives me hugs even when im a big girl and tells me its alright, my dad brews delicious soup for me asking me to be home for dinner, my siblings are there to comfort me, my ahma cooks for me whenever i visit and worries if i am sick, my ahgong always try to give me money although i decline each time, my waipo grows my favourite vegetables and always bring it for me and cooks for me, my relatives so ever ready to help. I am really a very blessed girl.

One person i would really like to thank on this occasion as well is my bro. Throughout these years, he has always been there for me. Be it when i am sick, having problems, through my ups and downs, he has always been there and i really appreciate it. He dotes me like a little girl, protects me like a brother, scolds me like a father but all in all, he is just a really good brother. Many people often question why can we be like this when we are not blood related. I guess the answer is sincerity and just genuine trust. It has been like this over the years and would always be. I am one who can't say such things easily for what reason i don't know why but.. ya thank you kor, really (:

I may not be the wealthiest girl, the smartest girl nor the prettiest girl but i definitely am contented. ok maybe not all the time if not im lying! but i am contented enough hehe C:

off to uss on a random thurs we did and it was hell lots of fun! As we grow older, its harder to find true friends but these girls are definitely keepers! C: i love them a lot!! Anyway USS is certainly an eye-opener but for the thrilling factor, i will only rate them 6.5/10 because it is not scary enough. The rollercoaster rides are only 14 storeys high and not steep enough during the plunge. Nevertheless its the best rollercoaster ride that we can find in singapore already! The greatest pleasure if you're going to USS isn't the rides but the friends you go with. awwwwww hehe!

Charis only came later! And thanks to her, we had lots of benefits! thanks luv! :D

Seriously, i dont even know where to start from. It's been a long time since i last blogged. I'm getting real rusty about it. I have been busy with activities that my spare time would be left to just lie on my bed and watch tv till i decide to switch it off and sleep for next day's work. But anyway, im going to quit by the end of this month. I'm going to give myself a break before school starts. Time really whizzes by quickly. I have been working since the end of my exams and this is my third job thus far. A drop by the library left me leaving with three books. That ought to occupy my free time during work.

FABBY IS BOTAK!! to "send" fabian off for his enlistment, we met up for dinner on a random wednesday night! We ate at MOF. I think its just the company. Anywhere would be good as long as it is the right company huh ;) Chatting over dinner, laughing and joking is a regular routine for us. Some tender loving care for one another *thumbs up! MOF was having 50% off for the 2nd ramen. woo, shiokkkkk!

Yet another backdated post. I met up with my batch colleagues for a bbq at our korean's friend condo for a bbq. initially it started to rain, thankfully it stopped and we were still able to start a fire although the bbq pit was wet thanks to our witty brains! shit my brain is malfunctioning.. i actually typed although the bbq pit was weird thus to our witty brains.

A trip to ntuc to get the food! Anita picking squiddddd. i miss that girl with her blur voice! we split up to get all the food. it was insane we keep saying this is a necessity and that. we actually bought like what, 10 packets of hot dogs. the boys said it was a necessity to have so many packets HAHA

My story doesn't ends here. But this shall be my last post for today. I'm so lazyyyyyyy!
After the picnic at marina barrage. I went home with junny and edward first to shower and changed to meet my dear sec friends for Raphael Ibiza Mok's birthday celebration! Eh handsome boy, you're finally 19 too! C:

We dined at Marche at vivocity. I wanted to eat pasta but they only had german noodles. The portion was so huge that even i couldn't finish it. I swapped with ling for her dish and we tried to finish each others' portion. Seriously, i think best friends have telepathy with each another. To me, true friends are not friends who are with you physically all the time, but those who will treat you as per they met you the day before no matter how long we have not met/talk and will always be there for you whenever you need it (:

Marche has a pretty interior. Feels really homely i like it!

After dinner, we went to sit outside to celebrate his birthday. I like sitting there, it gives me a serene feeling. Even if no one talks, it feels as if the breeze and silence can fill up the empty spaces. haa paradox.

ok this is truly backdated but i just want to blog about it cos i think it was really hilarious! guess where did we go on a hot afternoon?

Marina barrage! I swear it was so hot we all had obvious tan lines/sunburn at the end of the day! But nevertheless it was fun!

Potluck for lunch. Looking at all these food now makes me really hungry. there was so much food that we couldn't finish them all, so wasted but it was the first time i get to eat so much food at a picnic. Normally all people will bring is chips and more chips. But on that day we do not even have a single pack because we all thought one of us will bring it for sure!

The girls! Gwenna only came later on (:

We played soccer, frisbee and attempted to fly the kite to no avail. So sad, i really wanted to fly a kite! It was hilarious looking at all of us attempting to make the kite fly and with dissapointed looks when it dropped again and again. We then succumbed to the shelter of pretty umbrellas, refusing to budge from the concrete seats wiling for the clouds to cover mr. sunny.

When everyone couldn't stand the heat anymore, we surrendered and went to take cover. From there we tasted army food from packets. fried noodles which was.. soft and mushy. not very nice indeed. Aftermath, wei may gerry and i decided to go play in the water while the rest played cards. it was such a relieve from the heat!

Then may had to do it. I knew she will definitely do it! She kicked wei's slippers in the midst of the fountain and wei had to run in to get her slippers making her drenched to her feet. As usual their normal bickering started and we just kept on laughing at them. Should have taken a video gerry! HAHAHA

Hi, i can't even recall when was the last time i blogged. I have officially lost touch with the cyberworld due to the many ongoing activities in my life during this period. Using the computer at my convenience now, taking my own sweet time feels like a luxury. Having a day off just to spend time with myself feels like a luxury too. I never knew how important it was to spend time alone. But more importantly, i feel that i have neglected my family. You know when they are always there for you, you will unknowingly neglect them because you know that they will forever and always be there for you be it rain or shine. I took advantage of that. Its not that they reprimanded me or anything but i just feel guilty for not spending enough time with them. My mom asked me if i want to accompany her out yst but she remembered me telling her that i have something on so she said "ohya hor, but you need to go out. nvm nvm :)" Today, my sis is terribly down and asked if i want to accompany her out but she remembered me telling her i have an outing today so she said nvm. GUILTYYYYYYYYY, they just let me do whatever i want. but I want to go out with my mummy too, i want to go out with my jie too T.T I preoccupied myself with all sorts of activities but not quality family time. Well, its not that i don't enjoy myself outside. I do, in fact im very pleased. seriously, with the company of my loved ones, i feel awesome. beyond awesome. But I reckon its time to prioritise and exercise some discipline in my life. I need to juggle everything without feeling the strain. Perhaps the routine nature of life currently is taking a toll on me :( i want a break. I hope the trip with my family during end may will work out, i really want it!! I dont care if i have to babysit my two little kiddos during the trip, dragging me round to buy them ice cream or spend buckaroos on them to play the arcade(ok probably im not the one paying). i just want to spend time with my family! I want my family to know that i still care a lot a lot for them :(

Time spent alone feels great. I have no idea how long have i not went home straight after work but this doesnt feels like the norm today. Its a pleasant feeling though, to have all the time to myself. I went to watson and spent 70 on the females of the family my mom my sis and myself. Felt the pinch but felt good at the same time. Took the bus but it was so crowded, everybody was pushing and shoving i wanted to push them back but decided not to and simply alighted two stops before. if its gna be such an uncomfortable journey i'd rather walk. Read a book as i walked at my own pace under the setting sun, looked up and saw the beautiful orange blue sky so pretty i thought to myself how long have i not spend time like this with myself. Walked and walked head buried in my book, totally engrossed and oblivious to my surroundings other than dodging incoming cyclist till somebody suddenly wrapped his arms around me i nearly punched him in the face to realise its my dad. He wanted to scare me childish papa but my dad damn cute huh? he chided me lightly for reading while walking and then hurry me home to eat my dinner saying there's good food warm bowl of rice waiting for me on the table C:

my long neglected avenue.

I have been busy busy busyyyyyyy. Work and social life has been good. especially when its with people i love. Money in, money out, time spent well. The only thing is that i rarely get to spend time at home with my family because i always come home late but go out early in the morning. So when i do get a good whole day off at home, it feels really good! I'm so lazy when i reach home that i dont even think of using the net now. I will just shower and lay on my bed watch tv and then lights off.

Yst i had dinner with bro my fav cha soba was bad but the rest was good. Bro always accomodate to my liking actually he prefers chinese food. next week k dont ask me what i want to eat this time you said ok!! Time really passes very fast huh its the 7th year we have known each other if you realised kor! So I kept saying i want to cut my hair and we ended up at chapter 2 so impromptu we just walked pass the shop and the next moment i am in the shop cutting my hair. The hairstylist is really sincere, i like him. Cut wash blow for an entire hour. He treats my hair like gold i felt like a princess and his skills are good. Try him, his name is william at bugis' chapter 2 beside bugis street!

First it was charlene, then michael then saranya, then denise, then now yuqing, timothy, yiren, hyeon!! So many of them are leaving :(

Charlene was the first one to leave, we didnt get to have dinner together :/

We actually bought the same shirt. all of us, and said that we will all wear it to work on the same day but apparently none of us did. Even those who wore it coincidentally ended up wearing their jackets to cover so damn hilarious especially when we went to try before buying one by one we came out in the same outfit like weird only but fun! Ok I have lots of posts to blog actually. But before I discuss about my own happenings.

It seems... like it's getting worse every single day. It's really sad to read about it especially when they talk about how the survivors feel. The part that they mentioned about what family members or the Fukushima 50 wants to tell their family members really make hearts wrench. They are fighting so hard, sacrificing themselves. Such heroes, I don't think i can ever be. So admirable I really hope their efforts won't be futile..

Ok this was dated back quite long ago. We were honoured to be invited to Mr. Tan's wedding (: Have i mentioned before? I LOVE TO ATTEND WEDDINGS! Sitting in the church room, looking at the couple take their vows. sooooooooooooo cute. hahaha! I always tell my sister, you must must must let me be your jie mei(sister) during your wedding k! hehe. have you heard of the 8.9magnitude earthquake in Japan? Have you heard of the tsunami which has caused much devastation? Have you heard of the volcano that erupted in Indonesia? It is really a tragic disaster, my heart goes out to them but there is so little we can do, i can do. but unity is strength. I'm glad that bilateral ties comes in so willingly so giving at times like this and of course not forgetting the individuals compassionate enough to help or even those who have no means to but pray for them sincerely from the bottom of their heart. i may probably never know how it is like until i experience it, but i hope they can tide it over, really really. Kindness kindness kindness all over the world!!!!! Today i was on my way to ntu and boarded the bus little do i know that i had no more value in my card! So i was digging and digging for coins but i only had 45cents D: So embarrassed was i that i spoke so softly and told the young driver that i dont have enough coins.. So he said nvm nvm, but i just dropped the 45cents in. I was all flushed from embarrassment but i felt really greatful he didn't kick me out of the bus. can you imagine i was all alone T.T When i reached the interchange, i went to the front to thank him and offered him a sweet. He looked so embarrassed too and said its ok its ok. So i just put it on an available space beside his sit and ran out calling back thankyou very loudly. The look on his face was so funny! He was like smiling in embarrassment but im pretty sure i made his day as much as he made mine! :D

seriously kind acts like these really make me happy!!! I was smiling like a tutu idiot on the train so hippityhoppity delighted! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Sometimes, all it takes is a glimpse of sunlight. A ray of sunshine, beaming down on your face when you're feeling down and you will feel all better instantly because you know that there is still hope and there are so many other less fortunate people in the world relishing in the same sunshine secretly hoping for some miracle in their lives. Whilst on the train to work early in the morning, I felt the first beam of sunshine on my face, I turned and stared into the horizon, just absorbing the warmth of Mr. sunny sunshine and simply closed my eyes and felt so much more peaceful within. Thank you Mr. sunshine, thankyou for rising up at the right moment when im feeling the darkest of my mood.

Without them, i will probably still be wallowing in self-pity. Sounds really pathetic huh.. I hate to admit it. I hate to admit that i am actually defeated, so defeated i felt so enervated that i could barely summon the will to get out of bed. yes, the word is "felt". I am much better now and i will be a stronger girl. I am a blessed girl. I may not be having the best time of my life, but im pretty sure i have the best people in my life (:

I have a thing for old folks they are so cute!!! I was feeling rather upset until a cute old granny called in and even chatted with me for a while. You know I love it the most when they say, "what's your name dear?" then after i told them my name, they will say "thankyou so much Adelyn" and laugh in their cute granny voice HAHA seriously i love old grannies so uber cute!!!!!

Today, i went to visit my paternal grandparents after work. You know, even if i call them to ask how they are, they will be all smiles. Whenever i know that they are happy that someone cares, it makes me even sadder that so little people actually do care. Grandparents are such gems if you haven't realise..

So I went to dig up a dusty cupboard of photo albums and sat around with them to see the photos. I love to look at old photos C: It was really hilarious to see all my uncles, aunties and cousins in their younger days. So many changes, for worse or for better, its all in the eyes of the beholder. Sadly, my grandfather can't seem to remember the past well anymore and even asked who is the little boy in the picture where he is carrying him so lovingly..

Then we saw a picture. A picture which tug at my heartstrings. It was a picture of my maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents with my parents. It was my parents' wedding photo. My ahgong then asked: "ni de wai gong you chu ni de jia ma?(Did your maternal grandfather visit your house from m'sia?)". I was stumped. Reluctantly, I replied that my waigong has passed away alr.. for 3 years.. My paternal grandfather then sighed and went quiet. The feeling is unexplainable, just sheer sadness at that moment. It's not very nice to inform elderly that people around their age passed away.. So i just went on to the next album and laughed at how i looked like a boy when i was young. Its really funny. I totally looked like a boy!

My grandmother then made me bring a bag full of food back although I declined. But i suppose thats her way of showing love and she wouldn't feel good if i refused continuously. Every time i leave for home from her house, I will feel.. really good. But as i took the train back home today, all lost in my thoughts, I felt my eyes prick. In the midst of my busy life, I have kind of forgotten my beloved grandfather who has passed. All feelings of guilt came back and I felt really down. Though in people's eyes, technically i did nothing wrong. However, in my heart i always have this sense of guilt that i did not have a proper talk when he came to visit as i was busy with my own activities. Regrets, too many.. I dont even have an individual photo with him.. It was the last opportunity but i didnt know

Maybe a verse i read from a book is for me. "Forgive yourself before you can forgive others". But why does it seems easier to forgive others rather than yourself i wonder.. I know i sound really sad now but i get over things quickly not to worry. I just thought that this is a good avenue to pen down my thoughts should i forget my grandfather again.

Now we exchange numbers but text instead of calling because it mitigates the risks of early failure and eliminates those deafening moments of silence. Now anticipation builds. Bdoop. “It was NICE meeting u” Both sides overanalyze every word. We talk to a friend, an impromptu Cyrano: “He wrote nice in all caps. What does that mean? What do I write back?” Then we write a response and delete it 10 times before sending a message that will appear 2 care, but not 2 much. If all goes well, a date will be arranged.

Whether you like it or not, the digital age has produced a new format for modern romance, and natural selection may be favoring the quick-thumbed quip peddler over the confident, ice-breaking alpha male. Or maybe we are hiding behind the cloak of digital text and spell-check to present superior versions of ourselves while using these less intimate forms of communication to accelerate the courting process. So what’s it really good for?

There is some argument about who actually invented text messaging, but I think it’s safe to say it was a man. huufffff pufffff i just came back from a run. 7 rounds so proud of myself! Listening to music while running really does help. I felt alright and still going strong even after 7 rounds, humming to the songs, skipping in the breezy park wonderful lucky no one knows me! so happy to sweat it all out. i like it sticky as i may be. Days like these where sudden urge occurs, driving me to do whatever i set in mind. work passed really quickly today, made a couple of new friends really nice souls! :D hehe though i have to work half day tmr. still, tgif!

hi! i have been really busy. hectic schedule. just started first day of work. typing with one hand now. being quite incoherent. today early in the morning on the train there was this guy which i noticed have hair on the back of his shirt cos i was standing directly behind him. i thought to myself: why, he cut his hair in the morning? then i just listened to my music and spaced out. after like 8 stops i looked up and saw even more hair on his shirt. that was then i realised he was........... balding D: like constantly???? so poor thing. his bald spot is really quite huge. ok this is damn random. random thought. but i didnt know balding takes place so quickly. really very poor thing leh D:

gosh i just came back from pasir ris park with Chelsea. That girl dragged me up in the morning to accompany her to racky for bbq pits! Furthermore its all the way to the end -_-"" I cycled though hehe. We tried to tongpang each other but we just kept on laughing because we were cycling at snail pace while people jogged passed us it requires so much strength especially when its up slope! In the end she jogged/walked while i cycled. But still, its tiring can! I feel like i dont need to exercise for the next few weeks. Continuous exercising for 3 hours is quite enough for me D:

SO! yst i had dinner with my paternal side at long beach restaurant and guess what. The total bill came up to a whooping 2.6k. FOR A MEAL. This is totally insane, i hardly believe my ears when i heard the price my eyes nearly pop out and my jaws fell "WHAT?1?!?!??!?!" But if you consider it in non-monetary terms, i felt that it was a worthwhile meal because never have my paternal side talked so much in a single meal. Cousins sitting at one table, adults at another. It was heartwarming, it was good. Really good my grandparents were grinning from ear to ear like proud parents like proud grandparents C:C:

I am currently at home now and my maternal relatives are over. Its feels kinda like any other day though. hello mbs! ok thats a picture of the flyer i know. Last sat we went for ntu talk 2011 to learn about the different courses. boy was it boring! Actually i even went late and didn't go for any of the talks although i signed up. I merely went to the booth and made some enquiries. I couldn't stand the thought of placing my butt on the chair and sitting thru the full 45mins of talk. gerry shared the same sentiments i had my companion what else is lacking. hehe Afterall we have yet to collect our results so even if we do sit through the talks it would be with half-heartedness. We met up with Weilin and Chels thereafter and managed to convince them to skip all the rest of the talks oops hahaha. As predicted, we ended up playing rather than listening to serious talks about the possibility of our future prospects.

We ventured to mbs and it is huge man! We walked till my legs kinda ache need to exercise more. There was this pair of wayangs standing on long bouncy springy poles swaying back and forth, performing their talent but it was quite disturbing seeing their faces they look sinister mygoodness as fascinating as their act may be.

I was trying to figure out what these weird letters are for, furthermore when its red and green like traffic lights stop and go i didn't think so much then we came to realise its bio (a,t) (c,g) and we cracked up. HAHAHA

Then, as i was walking home with my head burying into a book i was reading, I looked up and saw big bro! you see, i went out with a low batt phone so he liased with weilin about my whereabouts. Weilin ah! sneaky girl hahaha thankyou darling!

when the clock striked 12, we sang a birthday song and cut the cake. It was a simple celebration but i couldn't wipe the smile off my face.

I am truly truly a blessed girl (: I can't reiterate enough how glad i am to be me. to be Adelyn Tan Shin Yen. Although many times i would complain about myself, the circumstances i am in, and all sorts of hooha. But ultimately, I am really glad to be me, to have everything i own now. No big car, no big house, not having super brains, not having supermodel looks, but i am contented. Contented to have my family, my friends, to have a roof over my head, to come home to a hot bowl of rice, to have a bed, to be able to own a smile i call mine. Days like this always spreads a smile on my face wishing things will stay happy like this forever. I feel loved, i feel warmth, i feel a certain unexplainable peace within me. Thank God (:

the most dazzling stars in my world, my awesome awesomer awesomest(though there are no such words) friends! Time really flies, i have known them for so many years alr can you believe it. This is the 7th year, and im so glad i met them :') OH ILOVETHEMSOMUCH!!!!!!!!!! We had an early birthday celebration for matt and me. And HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DEAR MATTHEW, our forever photographer in action! (except when he's clubbing, potential clubber!) HAHAHA We had dinner tgt at a restaurant located at harbourfront. I think every birthday celebration can be held there alr, its so cosy and warm i love to share food we are all foodie(s)! We had a spread and its totally worth it, i swear! I always wondered why they say secondary school friends last the longest, now i see the light. I feel it, I like it, I love it! But saying this doesn't mean i don't love and cherish my other friends as much, i just have to admit i spend the most time with them through our adolescent years especially so we have an understanding so deep between each another nobody can break. the bond is there man! I was so touched by the little handmade cards written by each of them, they were so cute to do it when i went to the toilet i can just imagine them panicking to draw/write finish before i come out of the toilet, ling even had to go to the toilet and slowly pretend to be taking a long time knowing i will wait for her and cherllie lua hide in the toilet cubicle to write HAHA, i have cute friends eheheh! So touched tears welled up in my eyes, what have i done to deserve such friends idk, but i truly treasure them each and everyone of them i mean it with all my heart! i love you guys aplenty more than aplenty!

On thurs i went for dinner to have an early celebration for my bday with big bro! I was so happy! what is the name of the place again let me check its gooood but more pricey ah! The food is awesome i swear i ate so much i felt as if i gained 3kg after dinner! Its a japanese buffet you see, i love jap cuisine cha soba hotpot soup softshell crab chawanmushi sushi mussels terayaki cakes yoghurt ice cream lots of fresh salmon so much more! How i wish i have an even bigger appetite but bro said the way i eat is scary enough powerpack unlike a girl i actually continued eating and eating even after he stopped. I think i will scare guys off with the amount i eat, burn a hole in anyone's pocket should they ask me what i want to eat. HAHAHA, not that i have an expensive taste but i just eat too much, wayyyyy too much! But as compared to some of my friends, i think im considered normal. Thinking about food makes me happy. happy only! HAHAHA I seriously have no qualms of being unglam in front of him, this is bad. Probably because we have known each other for so long he's like family. If you ask me years back if i ever thought that i would have a guy who is not blood related to me to be this close to me, i would say no. But now, without a doubt i would say that its truly possible although many are still skeptical about it. Oh c'mon man, ask any close friends of mine they know better isn't it. So, don't ever question us. Ok, i sound really serious. Anyw! HI! I have been busy these few days. So tired that i fell asleep and slept like a log in the evening. We celebrated may's and emm's birthday on 12th jan. The class gave the jan babies jigsaw puzzle i got chip and dale! cos they say it looks like me when i played chubby bunny. hehe thanks guys! <3 We meant to give may a surprise but the mirror gave us away ohshucks! hahaha, the funny thing is we ended up giving emmanuel a bigger surprise bet he didn't expect it at all from the look on his face. still! I would consider the surprises successful? hehe Gerry and I bought cupcakes for them after work near our workplace and talking about work we are jobless naowwwwwwww! Ok, thats not the point. anyw, happy birthday you two!

Today! I accompanied my mom and brothers to Ikea. My mom wanted to get bathroom curtains but we got excited when we saw all the items on sale. we kept saying "this this! This is good! If only we have this at home! Lets buy this!" Its kinda funny. As i grow older, my mom is beginning to treat me more like a friend. There's always this saying going around. Your mom is your best friend. True indeed she knows me inside out. I marvel that she seeks my opinions on matters now, treating me more like an adult. I like it. Really i do. My brothers however had to test our patience. Little monsters. Still, i'd rather have them around although they can really get on my nerves. My aunt pointed out that they are not afraid of me when i reprimand them, but they do not retaliate either and simply laugh it off. I guess they just like to annoy me huh. I got really pissed off yst when they kept on defying me while we were out. I have no idea why i lost my temper either. I just sat inside the arcade, plug in my ear piece, gave them money and ask them not to disturb me with a grim face. I think im losing control of my temper. But they were cute enough to cheer me up after catching a soft toy though i think it is really ugly hahahaha stupid I felt so bad i apologised and brought them to eat macs. dumb girl, i ought to have more control.

We celebrated his birthday eating steamboat, till my mouth started to ache from all the chewing and laughing. Talked about some adult issues and they all started spilling beans so shocking but not exactly unexpected. Makes it kinda funny and we just kept on laughing. Its amazing how comfortable we are around each another without a care that we will judge each other that we can talk about anything under the world since we only met at night. I like the feeling even when i have food stuck on my teeth and was being offered to have it dig out foc. HAHAHAHAHAHA, Fuzzzy buzzzy totally!!!
